What You Get
Students successfully completing the Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) short course will receive two certificates (via email):
- Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) branded RSA Certificate (on the day), this certificate is valid in Victoria.
- Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment: SITHFAB021 RSA (within 2-3 weeks).
- Employment Skills

Description
RSA Training is mandatory for licensees and staff selling, offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licenses.
This course applies to any staff in Victoria working where alcohol is sold or served, including all types of hospitality, tourism and events venues. Packaged liquor outlets and wineries, breweries and distilleries.
RSA training covers the following:-
- How to recognise and professionally deal with intoxicated customers and underage persons.
- Creation of safe and social atmospheres' at venues.
- An understanding of liquor licensing requirements of staff enabling course participants to be industry ready and confident.
The Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment SITHFAB021 RSA describes:
- The performance outcomes.
- Skills & knowledge required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol
- Covers RSA sill and knowledge requirements common across Australia (In some cases after completion of this unit, some jurisdictions liquor authorities require candidates to complete a bridging course to address the specific differences between states and territories).
Please Note:
- Learners must be 16 years of age and over at the time of course commencement, students will not be able to use the LCV RSA certificate until they are age of 18th years old.
- The LCV RSA certificate is valid for three years, and then student's will need to complete and online RSA refresher course every 3 years and before their RSA certificate expiry date. The Online RSA refresher course is Free.

Assessment:
You will be assessed on:
- active participation
- role play
- answering questions.
Assessment 1: Questions
This assessment consist of three parts:
- Part 1: Multiple-Choice- Single correct answers.
- Part 2: True of False Statements
- Part 3: Multiple-choice-Multiple correct answers ( as stated per question)
The passing score is 100%.
Assessment 2: Role Play x 3
Three separate role-play scenarios
- Role-play 1: Drug Affected
- Role-play 2: Emotional Distress.
- Role-Play 3: No Food
