Biography
Growing up in Adelaide, Mark was persuaded to join Hyatt Regency Adelaide in 1996 a Bell Attendant and quickly fell in love with the industry. He progressed in management and task force roles with Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, Grand Hyatt Melbourne, Chicago Corporate, then to Japan and Park Hyatt Tokyo. In 2010, Mark advanced to his inaugural General Manager role at Hyatt Regency Osaka, moving in the same position to Grand Hyatt Hangzhou, China in 2013, then Hyatt on the Bund, Shanghai in 2017.
Since 2022, Mark worked with Hyatt’s corporate Human Resources team building People, Culture & Organisational Leadership programs, based in Hong Kong Hyatt, while also providing support for Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, Hyatt Regency Brisbane, and Hyatt Regency Perth as interim General Manager. During this time, he also obtained academic experience with Torrens University Australia in lecturing, and subject development for the Master of Hospitality program.
Mark was appointed General Manager of Hyatt Centric Melbourne in July 2023.
